So what makes the Mokee Mini stand out from any other? Simple answer, colour!
Most baby furniture comes in white, cream or natural wood, but the Mokee palette is more what you’d expect from a Farrow & Ball paint chart than the standard, and I have to say I’m giving it a thumbs up.
On test: The Mokee Mini Cot
Size: 118 x 56 cm / 120 x 60 cm
Colour-ways: White, Grey Stone, Ivory Plum, Stone Blue and Stone Teal.
Pros: If the lovely colours don’t tempt you I think your head will be turned by the friendly price tag starting at just £65! An optional, hypoallergenic, Aloe Vera infused mattress is an extra £15. So how do they do it I hear you ask? The UK brand sell exclusively online and deliver direct from the warehouse to your door, usually free of charge too. By cutting out the middleman they can cut down the price- Yay!
I’ve been sent the Grey Stone (actually more a soft, moss green) which tastefully brightens up a minimal nursery and complements our Skip Hop Treetop Friends Wall Sticker. It arrived flat packed (as most cots do) with clear instructions. The wood feels a good quality and sturdy. The 120cm cot has two mattress level bases and cleverly, one side can be removed to create an Ikea style day-bed which can accommodate your child when they are ready to progress from a cot to toddler bed until they are around three years old.
Verdict: OK so the Mokee Mini is basic but for this price and the stylish colours I think less is much more.
